Too much luggage can be a burden to carry, especially when traveling. It can be hard to find your things when you’re out and about, making it awkward to get around town. Airlines will often hit you with extra fees for carrying too much luggage.

The truth is that we all tend to pack items we never end up using on vacation. However, this situation is much worse when packing for an international trip. With that in mind, here are half a dozen items you shouldn’t worry about packing for your next trip.

Towels & Extra Toiletries

Most hotels will provide essential toiletries, such as conditioner, shampoo, and moisturizer. They’ll also have toothbrushes, toothpaste, and razors available for you. In the worst-case scenario, foreign countries will sell shampoos and conditioners.

Almost all hotels provide towels, though you can rent them if they don’t. If they don’t, you can use the super absorbent microfiber towels, though carrying a full one can be a bit bulky.

Multiple Wardrobes

Unless you’re planning on attending a fashion week, you probably don’t want to spend much time deciding what to wear. Instead, pack simple and versatile outfits that can be easily combined. For instance, if you’re staying in a cold area, pack a few t-shirts and cardigans.

If you’re planning on wearing something a bit more formal, try a dress that can be dressed down to make it easier to wear multiple times. Pack light, as you may find a laundry service near your hotel.

Valuables & Jewelry

If you can’t afford to lose your item, don’t bring it with you on an international trip. Even if your hotel has a safe, thieves still have plenty of opportunities to steal your things. These are usually unnecessary, and they make you a target for pick-pockets. If you’re planning on carrying multiple devices, such as a laptop, tablet, or phone, you should consider if they are necessary.

Snacks & Drinks

It’s a bit worrying that you won’t be able to bring your favorite drink or snack with you when you go away for a week. The bad news is that international airports have strict regulations regarding the types of food and liquids that can be brought in. The good news is that you can pack a variety of local favorites for your trips, and we’ll ensure that you get the best food.
